I created Poochpage for the 2nd year module ‘Dynamic Web Programming’. It is the early stages of a social networking site aimed at dog owners looking to connect with others in their area.
The site uses HTML5, CSS3, and PHP to create a database driven website that allows users to register and create accounts for themselves and their dogs, connect with other users through friendship requests and comments, and to search for information about various dog breeds.
In the future this project will be developed further to include information about dog-friendly businesses, to include map software to plan routes for dog walks with other users, and this will be accompanied by a mobile app to extend all these features to users on the move.
